TMSCA has made the decision to cancel the 2020 TMSCA Middle School State Meet previously scheduled for 4/25/20 in San Antonio.

This decision was based on the following factors:

....UTSA has cancelled all on-campus events through 5/31/20

....The City of San Antonio and Bexar have each issued a Stay Home/Work Safe order

beginning 3/24/20, effective through 4/9/20, subject to amendment (extension)

....Governor Greg Abbott issued an order to close all schools through 4/3/20

....Individual school districts have instituted limited/no travel policies for their schools

.... UIL has suspended all competitions, practices and rehearsals for ALL UIL events. The

earliest date competitions may resume is 5/4/20 (current as of 3/19/20).

TMSCA is now completing plans for a possible on-line meet format for the MS State Meet

for schools who still want to participate. We will continue to monitor all local, state and national

governmental agencies and use their most current information to develop a plan that ensures

the health, safety and well-being of all of our students/coaches. Hopefully, we can announce

details for this plan by 4/6/20.

Again, thanks to all coaches/sponsors for their suggestions and support as TMSCA works

through this situation. It is going to take all of us working together to develop a plan that will

give the greatest number of students the opportunity to compete in a state-wide contest.
